I've gotten tired of posting about the road trip we took 2 weeks ago (I should've just put all of the states in one post) but I hate leaving things unfinished and our last stop was NOT Indiana so let me carry on. After Indiana and a few bathroom breaks/rest stops along the way, we reached out penultimate stop - Chicago. At last! I've got to be 100% honest with you guys, Downtown Chicago is much more beautiful than Times Square will ever be. I don't know why NYC is more famous than Chicago, people romanticize it too much. Of course, I still love New York more but I have to admit that Chicago is more aesthetically appealing. Here are some photos from the Botanic Garden (the most beautiful I've ever been to and that's saying something because NYC has like one in every borough - all of which I've visited) and Buckingham Fountain.

Indie-Ana
After Pennsylvania, our very next pit stop on the road trip from New York to Chicago was Indiana. Originally, the plan was to stop at the very tip of Pennsylvania, stay there a night and head straight to Chicago the next day but we never really following the itinerary I so lovingly mapped out. We stopped at Pokagon State Park in Indiana which paled in comparison to Hickory Run (Penn.) but there was an apple orchard which my parents loved. We stayed for about 2-3 hours and had a small picnic there and also took some really nice photos but we're in them and I don't really want pictures of me up on here. So here are the only two pictures from our venture that I am allowing myself to put up:

Hiking At Hickory Run
Ladies and Gentleman, the long awaited road trip travelog at last! I will admit, it took so long partly because I got really lazy after uploading 500 photographs in one go and then putting aside ones in which my parents were in and then again, deleting the horrible ones. It was a long winded process. But I have prevailed. Anyway, I've decided I will write about the road trip in separate installments, each composing of one pit stop. Essentially, every place we visited was a pit stop including the penultimate stop: Chicago. We underestimated the amount of time we had to do everything so we spent a day in each state.
I'm going off track though. Ladies and Gents, the first pit stop was Pennsylvania (crowd roars)!
Oooookay so Pennsylvania isn't the most glamorous state in the blessed U.S. of A. and being a New Yorker, it should've been unspeakably boring. But seriously, I'd have to say that it was my favorite state. Stopping at Hickory Run State Park wasn't on the itinerary I'd made prior to starting the trip but it happened arbitrarily. I think that's what made it funner. I hadn't expected the beautiful waterfalls, the gorgeous view, the hiking adventures, really.
